Job summary

I-PEX Philippines Inc. is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician in Laguna to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding equipment.

You will troubleshoot issues, assist with repairs, and support the team to minimize downtime while upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires technical or vocational training, 6 months to 1 year in a plastic injection setting, and willingness to work shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any technical or vocational course.
• 6 months to 1 year of work experience in plastic injection manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• PLC knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience in mold maintenance and injection molding machines is an advantage.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules and overtime when necessary.
• Able to work with minimal supervision; good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machines per schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair machine abnormalities to minimize downtime.
• Assist installation, adjustment, and calibration of injection molding machines.
• Monitor machine performance and report recurring issues to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Support mold installation, removal and minor mold maintenance as needed.
• Ensure electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems function properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in tools and work areas.
• Prepare and update maintenance records and machine history docs.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments on maintenance needs.
• Follow safety policies and SOPs during maintenance activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement to improve reliability and efficiency.

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance of production machines and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The role involves troubleshooting machine issues, assisting in equipment repairs, and supporting the maintenance team in minimizing machine downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Knowledgeable in Programmable Logic Control (PLC) is an advantage.

• Willing to work on shifting schedules and render overtime when necessary.
• Able to work under minimal supervision with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of handling maintenance-related activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct troubleshooting and repair of machine abnormalities to minimize production downtime.
• Assist in the installation, adjustment, and calibration of injection molding machines and related equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and report recurring issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Support mold installation, removal, and minor mold maintenance activities when necessary.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems of machines.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of tools, equipment, and work areas following 5S standards.
• Prepare and update maintenance records, reports, and machine history documentation.
• Coordinate with Production and other concerned departments regarding machine concerns and maintenance requirements.
• Follow company safety policies and standard operating procedures during maintenance activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and operational efficiency.
