Metro Container Corporation is seeking a reliable Mold Adjuster/Mold Setter to support our molding operations. You will set up, adjust, and maintain molds on injection molding machines to ensure safe operation and quality output.

This hands-on role requires troubleshooting and collaboration with production teams. Candidates should have experience in mold setup and basic processing, and be willing to work shifts including overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as Mold Setter/Adjuster or similar role.
• Knowledge of injection molding machines and basic processing parameters.
• Ability to read setup sheets and basic blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up, install, and remove molds in injection molding machines.
• Adjust mold alignment, clamping, and machine settings to production needs.
• Perform mold changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot tooling, setup, and processing issues.
• Conduct routine mold inspections during runs.
• Assist with mold maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs.
• Ensure safe operation of molds and machines per procedures.
• Communicate issues and improvements to supervisors and mold makers.
• Maintain accurate setup and production documentation.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mold Adjuster / Mold Setter to support our molding operations. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining molds in injection molding machines to ensure safe operation, quality output, and efficient production. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and working closely with production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, install, and remove molds in injection molding machines

• Adjust mold alignment, clamping, and machine settings to meet production requirements

• Perform mold changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime

• Troubleshoot molding issues related to tooling, setup, and basic processing

• Ability to lift molds/tools up to [weight] lbs using hoists or cranes

• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed

Preferred Skills

• Experience with plastic injection molding

• Familiarity with hydraulic, electric, or hybrid molding machines

• Basic understanding of mold troubleshooting and defect identification

• Crane, hoist, or forklift certification

• Experience with hot runner systems
