Job summary

Commonwealth Foods, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily machinery inspection, scheduling maintenance, and supervising the maintenance team.

The role requires coordinating with machine shops, reporting to management, and ensuring compliance with environmental and waste water controls, as well as DENR and DOLE permit renewals.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily inspection of all machinery and equipment; ensures good working condition.
• Schedules the maintenance and repair of all plant machinery and equipment.
• Assigns, supervises and evaluates the work of the Maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoots machinery and equipment problems as needed.
• Coordinates with outside/technical services for required tools and services.
• Reports machinery failures and maintenance status to Plant Manager.
• Prepares the plant's energy consumption report and submits to Management.
• Plans and reports plant improvements to Management.
• Acts as Pollution Control Officer for the plant.
• Oversees wastewater treatment and air pollution control devices.
• Prepares and forwards DENR self-monitoring reports and permit renewal documents to Main Office.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Conducts the daily inspection of all machinery and equipment, making sure that these are in good working condition.
• Schedules the maintenance and repair of all plant machinery and equipment.
• Assigns, supervises and evaluates the work of the Maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoots machinery and equipment problems, if necessary.
• Requests and follows up, if necessary, the outside/technical services and additional tools needed by the Maintenance Section.
• Coordinates with the machine shops for the fabrication of machine parts.
• Reports machinery/equipment failure and the status of machinery/equipment maintenance and repair work to the Plant Manager.
• Prepares the plant's energy consumption report (electricity, water, fuel, LPG) and submits this to Management.
• Plans, supervises and reports the plant improvements to Management.
• Acts as the Pollution Control Officer for the manufacturing plant.
• Oversees the working condition of the plant's wastewater treatment facility and air pollution devices.
• Prepares the quarterly Self-Monitoring Reports, forwards these to the Main Office for signature and notarization, and then submit these to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
• Prepares and forwards to the Main Office the required documents that will be submitted to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for permit renewal purposes.
• Prepares and forwards to the Main Office the required documents that will be submitted to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for permit renewal purposes.
