RLG ELECTRO MECHANICAL TRADING CORP is seeking an experienced MEPFS Planning Engineer to join the Project Controls team in Laguna. You will plan, schedule, monitor, and report on MEPFS work to ensure timely project completion.
Responsibilities include detailed scheduling, WBS development, milestones, progress tracking, recovery planning, and coordination with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams. On-site work in Laguna is required.
We are looking for an experienced MEPFS Planning Engineer to join our Project Controls team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting the progress of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Sanitary (MEPFS) works to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Project Scheduling
Prepare detailed MEPFS project schedules.
Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
Establish installation sequences and activity durations.
Prepare and monitor project milestones.
Progress Monitoring
Track actual progress against the approved baseline schedule.
Monitor MEPFS activities and identify potential delays.
Develop recovery plans and recommend corrective actions.
Resource Planning
Monitor manpower requirements and deployment.
Coordinate equipment requirements.
Monitor material availability and delivery schedules.
Identify resource constraints that may affect project progress.
Progress Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
Prepare look-ahead schedules.
Provide schedule updates and progress analysis.
Conduct delay analysis and identify critical activities.
Present project progress and schedule concerns to the Project Manager.
Project Coordination
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.
Coordinate with MEPFS subcontractors regarding schedules and progress.
Monitor MEPFS activities and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.
Attend project coordination and progress meetings as required.
Licensed Mechanical Engineer or Licensed Electrical Engineer.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in MEPFS or construction projects.
Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Sanitary (MEPFS) construction works.
Must have strong working knowledge and hands‑on experience in Primavera P6.
Knowledge of baseline schedules, critical path, S-curves, manpower loading, look‑ahead schedules, and delay analysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Willing to work on-site in Laguna.
Experience in MEPFS construction projects.
Experience in project controls and construction documentation.
Experience in delay analysis and schedule recovery.
Knowledge of MEPFS installation sequencing and project execution.
