Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Sanitary Engineering.
  • Licensed/registered engineer (RME, RSE, or RMPl) preferred.
  • 3+ years in construction with mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, and sanitary exposure.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, and other engineering tools.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate, monitor, and control plumbing quantities (materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors).
  • Coordinate baseline cost and schedule with the Cost & Schedule Engineer.
  • Prepare and submit requests for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and supervise MPFS works; supervise generator/elevator installations.
  • Review plans and specifications for compliance with codes and standards.
  • Conduct tests (hydro-test, functional tests) and system start-up.

Job description

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer (Equipment & MPFS) is responsible for the implementation of Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Sanitary works to ensure conformance with plans & specifications. The position also prepare the schedule of preventive maintenance of in-house equipment in the project site.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Cost
  • Estimate, monitor, and control plumbing quantities (material, labor, equipment, and subcon).
2. Production
  • Coordinate with the Cost & Schedule Engineer for the preparation of the baseline cost & schedule.
  • Prepare and submit request for materials, labor, equipment, & subcon.
  • Monitor and supervise MPFS works.
  • Assist service providers and utility company for inspection & installation of water/sanitary lines inside the project site.
  • Submit weekly MFPS accomplishment.
  • Coordinate MPFS Changes with Engineering Department.
  • Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of generator set and elevator.
  • Coordinate with Equipment Head on equipment operation, maintenance and repair as necessary.
  • Recommend effective engineering solutions to field problems.
3. Quality
  • Review construction plans & specifications for basic compliance with the prevailing Code and Standards of Practice.
  • Implement construction plans and specification.
  • Initiate the conduct of necessary tests such as hydro-test, functional test, flow tests, and system start-up.
  • Coordinate MPFS changes with CAD Operator for the as-built plans.
  • Turnover MPFS works in accordance to plans & specifications.
  • Issue Certificate of Completion and Final Acceptance of Contractors.
  • Responsible for the evaluation of Contractor's Performance Report.
4. Safety
  • Assist in overseeing health & safety standards on site.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, or any related field.
  • Possession of relevant professional certifications or licenses (i.e., Registered Mechanical Engineer, Registered Sanitary Engineer, or Registered Master Plumber, etc.).
  • Has a minimum of 3 years experience in construction industry, preferably with exposure to mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, and sanitary works.
  • Has an in-depth knowledge in construction project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and other engineering software tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management, scheduling, and budgeting.
