Job summary

Amentum seeks a Pipefitter / Steamfitter to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will certify boilers and UPVs, maintain steam and demineralized water plants, and inspect piping systems and components for safety and reliability.

Role requires welding proficiency, adherence to safety standards, and ability to read plans. Work location is remote overseas, with challenging environmental conditions and extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Certify boilers and UPVs per UFC 3-430-07 or P-606 certifications.
• Knowledge of steam generation and water generation systems.
• Understanding of high-pressure piping and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Certify boilers and UPVs to UFC 3-430-07 or P-606 standards.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Steam Generation and Demineralized Water plants.
• Inspect piping systems, valves, pumps, and related components.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
• Weld and fabricate piping when needed for repairs or construction.
• Conduct hydrostatic and pressure tests to verify integrity.
