Job summary

Amentum is seeking an HVAC Master Technician to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on large-scale HVAC systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in HVAC/refrigeration, a relevant trade qualification, and refrigerant handling certification. International travel and compliance with safety and environmental standards are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in advanced HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, repair, installation, or related trade work.
• Trade qualification in HVAC/RAC or closely related discipline; City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 acceptable.
• Current certification(s) in HVAC/refrigeration including refrigerant handling as required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of chilled water and DX AHU plant equipment.
• Support VAV and CV air distribution systems 100+ tons.
• Inspections, testing, fault diagnosis and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems for safe operation.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities.
• Document inspections and repairs per regulations and requirements.
• Supervise and guide junior team members as needed.
