Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Phlebotomist and Abstinence Monitor for the Adult Outpatient Program. The role involves collecting blood and urine samples, performing breathalyzer tests, and supporting clinic operations across ARTS locations in Denver, Arvada, and Aurora.

Standard hours are 5:00am–1:30pm, with occasional Saturday shifts up to 10:00am. Strong knowledge of PHI/ HIPAA and a patient‑centered approach are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ASCP or equivalent phlebotomy certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples by venipuncture, finger-stick, or heel-stick.
• Label, process, and deliver specimens for testing.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Perform front desk/reception tasks as needed.
• Ensure patient identification and accurate data entry.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and CLIA regulations.
• Document test results in patient records.
• Assist with general clinic duties as assigned.
