Job summary

IDP Education Limited in the Philippines seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead the country’s Student Placement and IELTS businesses. You will drive growth, manage financials, and oversee multiple offices and test centres, building a high-performing team while shaping regional strategy.

You will report to the Area Director – Vietnam & Philippines, and partner with regional/global teams to deliver country priorities and ensure governance and customer excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' leadership experience within multi-site, customer-facing or service-based organisations.
• Demonstrated P&L accountability and budgeting, forecasting, cost management and performance.
• Strong commercial acumen and track record of growth strategies and expansion.
• Experience leading organisational change or new operating models.
• Ability to lead and motivate multi-location teams to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Experience managing diverse stakeholders while aligning with company goals.
• Ethical and principled leadership approach with integrity and respect for diversity.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with proactive, honest updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of country and office-based business plans aligned with regional priorities.
• Drive performance across Student Placement and IELTS, identifying growth and efficiency opportunities.
• Own country financial performance: budgeting, forecasting, cost management, revenue and profitability.
• Strengthen sales, service, customer experience, pipeline conversion and lead generation.
• Oversee operations and performance across IDP offices and test centres in the Philippines.
• Develop a high-performing, engaged team across multiple locations.
• Lead business transformation to support growth and operational excellence.
• Develop business cases, financial models and investment plans for new opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional/global Finance, Marketing, Student Placement and IELTS teams.
• Build relationships with clients, partners, government and external stakeholders.
• Ensure strong governance and compliance across the country.
• Represent the Philippines in the Regional Leadership Team and contribute to regional strategy.
