Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and current licensure where applicable.
  • Experience in pharmacy operations, medicines handling, and inventory control.
  • Experience supervising or leading a team preferred.
  • Knowledge of FEFO/FIFO, batch tracking, expiration monitoring, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of operations and inventory staff.
  • Oversee receiving, storage, and proper handling of medicines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Monitor expiration dates, batch numbers, and storage conditions.

  • Ensure medicines storage complies with standards and regulations.
  • Supervise staff performance and provide training.
  • Document inventory movements, returns, damages, and expiries.

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Team Leader with a pharmacy degree and hands‑on experience in handling medicines, inventory management, and team supervision. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations, ensuring proper medication handling and storage, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supervising pharmacy staff to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of operations and inventory staff
  • Oversee the receiving, storage, organization, and proper handling of medicines and pharmaceutical products
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking, shortages, and expired products
  • Conduct regular inventory counts, stock audits, and reconciliation of physical and system inventory
  • Monitor medicine expiration dates, batch numbers, storage conditions, and product quality
  • Ensure proper implementation of FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) and appropriate stock rotation procedures
  • Ensure medicines are stored and handled according to applicable pharmacy standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise staff performance, assign daily tasks, and provide guidance and training when necessary
  • Ensure accurate documentation of inventory movements, receiving, dispensing, returns, damages, and expired medicines
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues
About you
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) or equivalent
  • Licensed Pharmacist is preferred/required where applicable
  • Previous experience in pharmacy operations, medicine handling, inventory management, or pharmaceutical distribution
  • Experience supervising or leading a team is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, proper medicine storage, stock control, and inventory procedures
  • Familiarity with FEFO/FIFO, batch tracking, expiration monitoring, and inventory reconciliation
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and inventory management systems
