Job summary

AJS Pharma, Inc. seeks a licensed Pharmacist to serve as the store’s clinical expert and trusted advisor, ensuring safe and efficient pharmacy operations. You will oversee accurate dispensing, regulatory compliance, and guide the store team in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, patient assessment, dosage guidance, and ongoing education to maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer confidence in the store.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
  • Registered Pharmacist license required
  • Minimum 6 months retail/pharmacy experience
  • Strong clinical, regulatory and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for regulatory authorities and ensure inspections pass smoothly.
  • Maintain licenses, permits and documentation for pharmacy operations.
  • Supervise storage, display, security of medicines with FEFO practices.
  • Train staff on prescription reading, recording, and filing with accurate records.
  • Provide ongoing education to the team on product knowledge, patient assessment and dispensing protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels and stock movement; place orders for fast-moving and essential items; suggest bioequivalent alternatives when needed.
  • Ensure daily stock inventories and verify senior citizen and PWD transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in critical areas including compounding and quarantine sections.
  • Keep up-to-date pharmacy references for accurate patient counseling.
  • Lead housekeeping and organizational standards for safe medicine arrangement.
  • Oversee all pharmacy operations to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other tasks to support store and pharmacy operations.

Job description

The Pharmacist acts as the store’s clinical expert and trusted advisor, ensuring safe and efficient pharmacy operations. This role oversees accurate medication dispensing, maintains strict compliance with regulatory standards, and guides the store team in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care. The Pharmacist also supports operational excellence and initiatives that enhance customer safety, satisfaction, and confidence in the store.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities, addressing store requirements and ensuring smooth compliance during inspections.

  • Maintain and update all necessary licenses, permits and documentation for pharmacy operations.

  • Supervise proper storage, display and security of medicines, ensuring First Expiry First Out (FEFO) practices are followed to minimize waste.

  • Guide and train store personnel on prescription reading, recording, and filing, maintaining accurate records

  • Provide ongoing education to the team on product knowledge, patient assessment, dosage regimens, side effects, and proper dispensing protocols.

  • Monitor inventory levels and stock movement, placing orders for fast-moving products, essential items, slow-moving stock, and recommending bioequivalent alternatives when necessary.

  • Ensure daily completion of stock inventories by store personnel and verify senior citizen and PWD transactions.

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of critical areas, including the compounding area, quarantine sections, lavatories, and overall store environment.

  • Maintain up-to-date pharmacy reference materials and utilize trusted resources to provide accurate and informed patient counseling.

  • Lead housekeeping and organizational standards to ensure safe, orderly, and therapeutically correct arrangement of medicines.

  • Oversee all pharmacy operations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support the efficient operation of the store and pharmacy.

Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy

  • Registered Licensed Pharmacist (Required)

  • Minimum 6 months experience in retail/drugstore
