Job summary

SPX Express in Manila is seeking a Compliance & Regulatory Officer to ensure all SPX facilities under their assignment meet government regulatory requirements year-round.

You will monitor end-to-end compliance, manage LGU relationships, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to minimize risks and keep facilities compliant. Travel may be required to engage with LGUs and site hubs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of processing business permits (renewal, new, retirements) and regulatory compliance for Warehouse facilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication to build rapport with LGU offices (BPLO, BIR).
• Familiarity with permit requirements, securing them, and navigating LGU changes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and process end-to-end government compliances for SPX facilities under the PIC.
• Manage stakeholders (LGUs, BFP, etc.) to minimize risks for facilities under the PIC.
• Monitor submissions for insurance enrollment by hub personnel.
• Ensure partners’ compliance requirements are met for SPX and partners themselves.
• Update and track hubs’ compliance statuses for all facilities under the PIC.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and partner lessors.
• Build and manage LGU relationships.

The primary role is to ensure that all of SPX’s facilities under their assignment are fully compliant with all government regulatory requirements and able to continue their operations all throughout the year.

• Monitor and process end to end government compliances for SPX facilities assigned by the PIC.
• Manage stakeholders (LGUs, BFP, etc.) to minimize and avoid risks for facilities assigned by the PIC.
• Monitor internal stakeholders (hub personnel) for submissions needed for insurance enrollment.
• Monitor external partners’ compliance requirements - ensure that SPX’s partners are also compliant with their own requirements.
• Diligently update and track statuses for hubs’ compliance for all facilities assigned by the PIC.
• Communicate with Internal Stakeholder management and partner lessors.
• LGU relationship building and management.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable on processing of business permits (renewal, new, and retirements) and other regulatory compliance for Warehouse.
• Keen attention to details and has a good communication skills to build rapport with different LGU offices; specifically BPLO and BIR
• Knowledge on the nuances between the different permits’ requirements, how to secure, and how to navigate changes from LGU to LGU.
• Must be willing to travel and can do multitasking
• Having a connection with different LGU’s is an advantage.
