Job summary

SID Global Solutions is seeking a Performance Test Engineer to design and execute exhaustive performance, load, and stress tests ensuring systems meet nonfunctional requirements. You will identify bottlenecks, model workloads, and collaborate with architects, developers, and QA to optimize performance.

You will maintain test scripts, analyze results, and communicate findings with stakeholders, contributing to continuous improvement in performance engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of hands-on performance testing experience.
• Experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, Neoload or StresStimulus.
• Ability to design test strategies and workload models.
• Mentor QA testers on performance testing best practices.
• ISTQB certifications preferred.

About the role

The Performance Test Engineer ensures systems meet performance benchmarks through the design and execution of performance, load, and stress tests. The role involves identifying bottlenecks, analyzing system behavior under varying workloads, and collaborating with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and test administration teams to align with nonfunctional requirements, standards, and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the Performance Test Plan and ensure it is reviewed and approved by all relevant stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, and stress tests to assess system behavior under various conditions.
• Perform workload modeling based on nonfunctional requirements, with consideration to the system's architecture blueprint and performance objectives.
• Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations for system optimization.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and QA teams to ensure performance requirements are met and that the test environment is properly configured, including integration with all relevant Systems of Record (SORs).
• Maintain performance test scripts, test data, and related documentation to support ongoing performance validation efforts.
• Generate and communicate regular reports on system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.
• Document the Performance Test Results and secure sign-off from all designated stakeholders.

About you

• Bachelor's degree relevant to the job
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in performance testing using industry standard tools such as LoadRunner (LR), Apache JMeter, Neoload, or StresStimulus.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing performance test strategies, including workload modeling based on nonfunctional requirements and system architecture blueprints.
• Demonstrated ability to identify bottlenecks and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and test administration teams for system tuning and optimization.
• Experience in scripting and executing performance tests using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Neoload, StresStimulus
• Proficient in analyzing performance test results, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending tuning strategies.
• Has led or contributed to process improvements related to performance testing and monitoring.
• Experience in mentoring junior performance testers or QA team members on performance testing best practices.
• Strong analytical skills in interpreting performance test results and recommending tuning strategies.
• Professional Certification preferred: ISTQB – CTFL, ISTQB- CTAL – TAE, or ISTQB CTAL - TTA
