Job summary

RippedBoxStation is seeking an entry-level QA Tester to assist in planning, coordinating testing activities, and ensuring software quality under guidance from senior team members. You will develop and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and UAT, log defects, and support test automation framework initiatives.

Collaboration with developers, analysts, and project managers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Application Development.
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Familiarity with manual testing, automation testing, and defect management processes.
• Basic knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or HP ALM.
• Basic understanding of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under close guidance and daily supervision.
• Willingness to learn test strategy, quality engineering, and leadership practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating testing activities under the guidance of senior Test Leads or QA Managers.
• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and UAT.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks using approved tools and technologies.
• Assist in preparing test plans, test cases, test execution reports, and defect summaries.
• Log, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
• Participate in test framework evaluations and contribute to automation and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and QA team members to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Support production validation, release testing, and post-deployment verification activities.
• Maintain testing documentation, quality metrics, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Escalate testing issues, risks, and blockers to senior Test Leads when appropriate.
