Vertere Global Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Performance Tester to join a small, cross-functional quality team embedded with a development squad. You will specialize in speed, scalability, and stability, ensuring applications hold up under real-world load before release.
You will work with QA Lead, Manual/Functional Testers, QA Automation Engineers, and API Testers to bring a performance lens to every release and help catch bottlenecks early rather than in production.
We are looking for a Performance Tester to join in our team: a small, cross-functional quality team embedded with a development squad. You will be a specialist for speed, scalability, and stability, making sure our applications hold up under real-world load before they reach users. You will work alongside the QA Lead, Manual/Functional Testers, QA Automation Engineers, and API Testers, bringing a performance lens to every release and helping the team catch bottlenecks early rather than in production.
Gather non-functional requirements (response times, throughput, concurrency, SLAs) from product owners and the QA Lead.
Design performance test strategies and plans covering load, stress, spike, soak/endurance, and scalability testing.
Build realistic workload models based on production usage patterns and business scenarios.
Develop, maintain, and parameterize performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
Prepare and manage test data and test environments for performance runs.
Execute performance tests and monitor system behavior during runs.
Analyze results to identify bottlenecks across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers.
Use monitoring and APM tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog) to correlate metrics and pinpoint root causes.
Produce clear reports with findings, risks, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) with the Automation Engineers.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of software testing experience, with at least 2 years focused on performance testing.
Hands-on experience with at least one major load testing tool (JMeter, k6, Gatling, or LoadRunner).
Scripting skills in at least one language (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Groovy, or Scala).
Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, web architecture, and client-server systems.
Working knowledge of SQL and database performance basics.
Experience reading performance metrics: response time percentiles, throughput, error rates, CPU, memory, and I/O.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and the software development lifecycle.
Experience with APM and observability tools (Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, Datadog, Grafana).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed or cloud-based load generation.
Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience testing microservices, message queues, or mobile backends.
Basic understanding of front-end performance (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse)
ISTQB Performance Testing or related certification
