Job summary

Capgemini Philippines Corp. is seeking a seasoned Performance Test Lead to drive the testing lifecycle and define performance strategies for complex applications.

You will manage a team of testers, design advanced JMeter frameworks, and coordinate with infrastructure, development, and business units to ensure scalability and reliability. The role requires strong SQL tuning, cloud familiarity (Azure, AWS, GCP), and CI/CD/DevOps experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in performance testing/performance engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in leading performance testing teams.
• Expert-level Apache JMeter knowledge.
• Strong SQL and database tuning knowledge.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD integration and DevOps practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Drive root cause analysis and present results to senior management.
• Support production readiness and go-live activities.

YOUR ROLE

The Performance Test Lead is responsible for leading the performance testing lifecycle, defining performance strategies, managing test teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring applications meet performance and scalability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Define overall performance testing strategy and approach.

• Review performance requirements and SLAs.

• Estimate effort and prepare performance testing plans.

• Lead a team of performance testers.

• Design complex JMeter frameworks and reusable components.

• Review and approve test scripts and test scenarios.

• Coordinate with infrastructure, development, DBA, middleware, and business teams.

• Plan and manage:

  • Load Tests

  • Stress Tests

  • Soak Tests

  • Capacity Tests

  • Scalability Tests

• Identify performance risks and mitigation plans.

• Analyze bottlenecks across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers.

• Drive root cause analysis sessions.

• Present performance test results and recommendations to senior management.

• Support production readiness and go-live activities.

• Establish performance testing best practices, standards, and governance.

• Mentor and train junior performance engineers.

YOUR PROFILE

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in performance testing/performance engineering.

• At least 2 years of experience in leading performance testing teams.

• Expert-level Apache JMeter knowledge.

• Strong understanding of performance engineering concepts.

• Experience with:

  • Grafana

  • Dynatrace

  • AppDynamics

  • Splunk

  • ELK Stack

  • Prometheus

• Strong SQL and database tuning knowledge.

• Good understanding of cloud platforms:

  • Azure

  • AWS

  • GCP
