Smartsourcing Inc. in Cebu City is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team onsite. You will support end‑to‑end payroll processing, ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, maintain accurate payroll records, and assist employees and clients with payroll queries.

This role suits detail‑oriented, process‑driven professionals who value confidentiality and accuracy, working in a structured, high‑performance environment to deliver timely payroll cycles and reliable reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Human Resources, Business or related field.
• 1–3 years of payroll experience, with exposure to end-to-end payroll processing.
• Experience using payroll systems (Employment Hero preferred).
• Proficient in MS Excel and comfortable working with payroll data.
• Exposure to Australian payroll is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing: assist in preparing and processing accurate and timely payroll.
• Records Maintenance: ensure accurate payroll information and data entry in systems.
• Compliance & Confidentiality: adhere to statutory requirements and maintain confidentiality.
• Client Support: respond to payroll inquiries with professional service.
• Reporting: prepare and distribute payroll reports to stakeholders.
• Payroll Periodic Tasks: assist with lodgements and reporting for taxes and superannuation.
