Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Payroll Manager in the Philippines to lead back-office payroll activities for the Shared Services Business Operations. You will supervise time reporting, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings, ensuring accurate government filings and timely pay distributions.

You will report to the Controller and advise leadership on payroll strategy. The role requires strong payroll management experience, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to drive process improvements

Qualifications

• At least 6-10 years tenured work experience PH payroll

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee payroll processing activities for the Shared Services Business Operations in the Philippines.
• Define and implement payroll policies, controls, and procedures.
• Oversee time reporting, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Enter and validate employee time worked in payroll systems; manage pay distribution.
• Develop and drive tax planning and regulatory compliance; produce annual tax statements.
• Support organizational effectiveness and key initiatives in collaboration with the Controller.

Job description

The Payroll Manager is responsible for leading key back office activities for our Shared Services Business Operations in the Philippines including, but not limited to, handling reporting time, managing pay, and processing taxes from salaries, pay employees, withhold taxes, confirm the correct funds are paid to the correct government agency, reports to the Controller, assists and advises leadership on payroll activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the creation of a Shared Services Business Operations-wide strategy for the support controlling function. Create and implement strategies for payroll processing. Supervise and enhance the strategies, plans, and policies supporting the support Shared Services Business Operations Control team
• Define and oversee all payroll processing activities and determine the responsibilities of support Shared Services Business Operations Control team and line management within those processes. Activities include:
• Report time: Establish policies and procedures. Collect and record employee time worked. Analyze and report paid and unpaid leave. Monitor regular, overtime, and other hours. Analyze and report employee utilization.
• Manage pay: Enter employee time worked into payroll system. Maintain and administer employee earnings information. Maintain and administer applicable deductions. Monitor changes in tax status of employees. Process and distribute payments. Process and distribute manual checks. Process period-end adjustments. Respond to employee payroll inquiries
• Manage and process payroll taxes: Develop and manage tax plan. Calculate and pay applicable payroll taxes. Produce and distribute employee annual tax statements. File regulatory payroll tax forms
• Develop and drive organizational effectiveness and support the GBC on all major initiatives
