We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, preparation of pay-slips, verification of salary computations, and maintenance of payroll records. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations while maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and on time, including salaries, overtime, allowances, incentives, and deductions.
Review and validate employee attendance, timesheets, leave records, and payroll inputs.
Double-check salary computations, payroll adjustments, and deductions to ensure accuracy before payroll release.
Prepare and distribute employee pay-slips in a timely and confidential manner.
Prepare and process statutory deductions, government contributions, and payroll-related reports.
Maintain and update employee payroll and personnel records.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries and concerns.
Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll matters, benefits, deductions, and salary-related concerns.
Generate payroll summaries, reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for management and finance.
Organize and maintain payroll and employee filing systems.
Provide general administrative support to the HR and Finance departments.
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
Continuously review payroll processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 1 year of payroll experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems/software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure payroll accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
