Job summary

Remitly PHL Operations Inc. in the Philippines seeks a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead strategic partnerships and drive payments initiatives across the region.

You will collaborate with product, legal, operations, and compliance to onboard partners and optimize commercial performance. The role demands 10+ years in partnerships, 3–5 years in payments, strong negotiation and cross-functional influence, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategic partnerships /business development experience, out of which 3-5 years are in a Payments business.
• Robust understanding of consumer payments and cross border money movements.
• Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills with commercial, product, legal and compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Jointly drive regional strategy with BD lead.
• Own and drive initiatives with key strategic partners (banks, payment processors, etc.).
• Negotiate renewals, amendments, economics and expand product footprint.
• Advocate for product partnership growth initiatives and joint roadmaps.
• Oversee negotiations and contract execution with cross functional teams.
• Ensure deal signing leads to successful go live and initial goals.
