Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a polished Patient Care Communications Specialist to support our chiropractic clinic. The role is the voice of the practice, providing warm, professional contact across phone, text, voicemail, email, and scheduling workflows.

You will handle high-volume calls, book appointments in MacPractice, update patient records, and coordinate with in-office staff while protecting patient privacy under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Experience as Virtual Medical Assistant or similar healthcare support role.
• Comfortable handling high call volume in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Patient service mindset with empathy and sound judgment.
• Able to multitask across calls, texts, emails, voicemails, faxes, and scheduling tasks.
• Must own a Mac OS device (MacBook, iMac, or Mac mini).
• Reliable high-speed wired internet (LAN).
• Flexible schedule and willing to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Answer high-volume inbound patient calls professionally and promptly.
• Respond to texts, voicemails, emails and related messages timely and accurately.
• Schedule new patient appointments and manage intake information in MacPractice.
• Prioritize new inquiries and referrals before routine rescheduling.
• Conduct follow-up and reactivation outreach to inactive patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records, scheduling notes and communications.
• Coordinate with in-office staff to keep the provider schedule full.
• De-escalate scheduling, billing, insurance questions with empathy.
• Listen, gather details, offer callbacks, and avoid information overload.
• Support missed-call follow-up workflows and HIPAA privacy standards.
