Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Overview

We are looking for a Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist with hands‑on experience in voice‑based customer service for patient accounts receivable. The ideal candidate is confident in communicating with patients, explaining billing concerns clearly, and handling inquiries professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound and/or outbound calls regarding patient accounts and medical bills.
Assist patients with questions and concerns regarding their outstanding balances, billing statements, and account details.
Explain patient bills, charges, payment information, and account balances in a clear and professional manner.
Address billing‑related concerns while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
Process or assist with payment‑related inquiries when needed.
Document patient interactions and account updates accurately.
Maintain confidentiality when handling patient and account information.
Follow established procedures and ensure accurate handling of patient accounts.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in Customer Service – Patient Accounts Receivable/Medical Billing (Voice).
Patient Accounts Receivable voice experience is required.
Experience in payment processing is preferred but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable speaking with patients and explaining billing information over the phone.
Must be able to communicate complex billing information in a simple and easy‑to‑understand manner.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Professional, patient, and empathetic when handling patient concerns.
Ability to work independently and follow established processes.
