Job summary

Fairmont Makati is seeking a pastry specialist to assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of pastry dishes in line with our standards. You will support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef while ensuring food safety and HACCP compliance in daily kitchen operations.

You will train colleagues, liaise with departments for clear communication, and manage mise en place, ingredients, sauces, and inventory to maintain quality and precise portion control.

Qualifications

• Degree in Culinary Arts or related field is advantageous.
• Strong pastry techniques and knowledge of modern cooking methods.
• Experience in a luxury hotel environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pastry preparation, cooking, and presentation according to recipes and standards.
• Train and develop colleagues and liaise with other departments for smooth operations.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, and mise en place; oversee inventory and portion control.
