Job summary

Vikings Group of Companies is seeking a Commis Pastry for NIU by Vikings, located in Nuvali, Santa Rosa City, Laguna. You will join a busy pastry team, assisting in baking and dessert production while upholding quality and presentation standards.

This role requires a culinary diploma in pastry arts and hands-on pastry experience. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, monitor inventory, and support mentoring of junior staff, with shifts including early mornings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a professional pastry kitchen.
• Knowledge of lamination, tempering, and decoration.
• Food safety and hygiene standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion pastry doughs, fillings, and glazes according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in the production of desserts, cakes, pastries, and baked goods for service.
• Operate pastry equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of the pastry section.
• Monitor inventory of pastry ingredients and communicate stock levels to senior staff.
• Support the execution of pastry plating and presentation for dishes.
• Follow food safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior pastry kitchen staff as required.
• Collaborate with the pastry team to develop new dessert concepts and seasonal offerings.
• Maintain accurate records of production and portion control.
