Job summary

Vikings Group of Companies is seeking a Chef de Partie – Pastry to oversee the pastry section, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation of pastries, cakes, and baked goods. You will prepare from scratch, manage inventory, and maintain sanitation standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will collaborate with the kitchen team and management on menus, events, and daily operations, with on-site work and a willingness to cover weekends and holidays. Immediate start at Vikings SM Bacolod.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years as Chef de Partie, preferably pastry-focused.
• Proficient in pastries from scratch: sourdough, moist cakes, tarts, and cookies.
• Skilled in icing, meringue, and pastry decorations.
• Strong baking techniques and quality control to ensure consistent product quality.
• Ability to manage ingredient inventory, coordinate ordering and storage.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and proper handling procedures.
• Good organizational and time-management skills to meet production schedules.
• Ability to collaborate with kitchen staff and management on menu items and events.
• Willing to work on-site, including weekends and holidays; immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the pastry section daily operations and ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of pastries, cakes, cookies, tarts, and other baked goods.
• Prepare a variety of baked products from scratch, manage ingredients and inventory, and maintain sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to coordinate menu offerings, special events, and overall kitchen operations.
