Job Summary:
The Parts Counter In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Parts Counter, ensuring the accurate identification, issuance, monitoring, and coordination of automotive parts and accessories. This role serves as a key link between the Parts, Service, and Sales Departments by ensuring that requested parts are properly processed and made available within the required timeframe. The position requires basic automotive knowledge, strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Parts Counter Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Parts Counter and ensure smooth processing of parts requests.
- Assist in identifying the correct automotive parts based on vehicle specifications, job orders, and customer requirements.
- Ensure parts are properly issued, documented, and accounted for.
- Parts Inventory and Availability
- Monitor parts availability and coordinate with the warehouse personnel regarding stock levels.
- Verify incoming and outgoing parts transactions and report discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of parts movement and stock requests.
- Customer and Internal Coordination
- Assist customers and service personnel with parts inquiries, availability, pricing, and order requirements.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Warehouse Staff to ensure timely availability of required parts.
- Provide clear and professional communication regarding parts status and concerns.
- Documentation and Computer Support
- Prepare and maintain parts requisitions, issuance records, invoices, and other related documents.
- Encode and update parts information using basic computer applications and dealership systems.
- Ensure proper filing and organization of parts-related records.
- Quality, Accuracy, and Compliance
- Verify the correctness of parts before issuance to minimize errors and unnecessary returns.
- Follow established dealership procedures, safety protocols, and Parts Department standards.
- Maintain an organized and efficient counter and work area.
- Team Support and General Duties
- Provide guidance and assistance to parts personnel in handling daily counter transactions.
- Help resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement of Parts Department processes.
- Perform other parts-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

- Basic Automotive knowledge/skills
- Basic Computer literacy
- Ability to work under pressure
