1Life Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Paralegal Associate to provide administrative and legal support to the Legal Department. You will assist in drafting and organizing documents, maintaining case files, and coordinating with internal teams and external parties.
The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–2 years of paralegal or administrative experience, plus strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The Paralegal Associate provides administrative and legal support to the company's Legal Department. The role assists in preparing legal documents, conducting research, maintaining case files, coordinating with internal departments and external parties, and ensuring that legal records and requirements are properly organized and updated.
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents, contracts, agreements, letters, and other correspondence.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant laws, regulations, case information, and supporting documents as instructed.
Maintain and organize legal files, records, contracts, and other confidential documents.
Assist in monitoring deadlines, compliance requirements, renewals, and other legal matters.
Coordinate with government agencies, external counsel, clients, suppliers, and other third parties when necessary.
Assist in preparing documents and requirements for legal proceedings, hearings, meetings, and company transactions.
Support the Legal Department in contract administration and documentation.
Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company requirements.
Prepare reports, summaries, and documentation related to ongoing legal matters.
Assist in obtaining and organizing notarized documents, certifications, permits, and other legal requirements.
Provide administrative support to lawyers and the Legal Department.
Maintain strict confidentiality of company, employee, client, and legal information.
Perform other legal and administrative tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
Preferably with 1-2 years of experience in paralegal, legal assistant, corporate legal, or administrative work.
Knowledge of Philippine laws, legal procedures, and basic legal documentation is an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Able to conduct basic legal research and document review.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Can work independently while coordinating effectively with the Legal Team and other departments.
