CSA - Assistant Package Manager / PM is a full-time position within T One Project Management Inc.'s Construction Management Department. The role involves managing construction packages, coordinating with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders, and ensuring project delivery in accordance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Site safety oversight where necessary and collaboration with the safety management team; ensure workforce safety and compliance with environmental and health standards; review contractor safety policies and address any issues proactively
Collaborate with design teams early to ensure design completeness, scope clarity, and buildability; maintain and review marked-up plans and documentation to manage updates and scope gaps
Attend Design and Construction Coordination meetings and coordinate with design consultants in seeking approvals or clarifications for works to proceed
Maintain and monitor Design Issues Tracker, Design Changes and Design Compliances for the package
Monitor project progress against schedules, critical paths, and milestones; implement progressive checks to maintain quality standards and address non-compliance
Assist in monitoring progress and make adjustments as needed by the Project Lead; update and track project forms and monitoring
Manage, organize and coordinate the package contractor/s to execute their work in accordance with program, design documents, specifications and contract payments
Track Tender Event Schedule, review Scope of Works, and conduct Technical Tender Review; ensure Design Compliance on all related scope for the contract package
Track and manage changes to the package, monitor contractor claims, and assist in budget recovery efforts; oversee procurement schedules, approvals, and long-lead item tracking
Conduct periodic, daily and site visits to inspect conditions, track progress, and address emerging issues; perform Client site inspections, offsite inspections, QA/QC inspections, safety inspections and other inspections as deemed necessary
Assist the Project Lead in attaining T1's project scope and objectives; maintain trackers for submissions, RFIs, inspections, and changes
Manage documentation through electronic systems or manual controls where necessary; prepare meeting agendas and minutes, ensuring all action points are addressed
Follow up, remind, notice and provide updates to stakeholders, vendors or suppliers with their assigned tasks and communicating expected deliverables as instructed by the Project Lead
Use standardized tools and templates for tracking progress, procurement, and quality metrics to align with project KPIs
Report to Project Lead and perform administrative duties such as typing, formatting, and editing reports, documents, and presentations as needed
Coordinate oversight and management of construction progress, site management, and alignment of various contract package interface to Civil, Structural, Architectural and Interior Design Works
Collaborate interfacing between other trades like structural and MEPF works from the trade contractors; monitor contractors daily, weekly and monthly reports and deliverables
Schedule appointments, maintain an events calendar, and send reminders; assist in managing internal and external correspondence on behalf of the Project Lead
Identify potential risks related to safety, design, scheduling, cost, and quality; develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with the project team
Maintain a risk register and update it regularly with identified risks, their status, and mitigation measures; communicate risk updates to stakeholders during progress meetings
Coordinate witness testing, commissioning documentation, and defect resolution for smooth project handover; compile as-built documentation and oversee defect walkthroughs to achieve zero defects at practical completion
BS in Architecture or Civil Engineering
3-5 years work experience
Has field / site experience managing stakeholders
Familiarity with Google-based documentations, well-versed with computer based mark-up tools (adobe pdf at minimum)
Average knowledge in project management especially on design, planning and coordination aspects
Good leadership and communication skills with strong ability to lead and negotiate
Good interpersonal skills and team player with strength in coordination with various parties
Good presenter inclusive of good skill in preparation of presentation materials
Above average proficiency level of communication (oral and written) and creative thinking skills
Knowledgeable in various design phases like conceptualization, schematic, design development, project handover and supervision
Self-motivated and driven to succeed with a proactive work approach
