Job summary

Optum, a health care technology company, is seeking an experienced ORMB developer to design and implement billing solutions in a hybrid setup in the Philippines.

You will lead technical design, develop integrations and APIs, and work with cloud-native deployments, AI-enabled features, and enterprise systems to deliver scalable, reliable software for complex billing needs. Collaborate with product owners, QA, and DevOps, and ensure best practices in code quality and security.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on ORMB development experience with billing implementations.
• Billing configuration, customization, and integrations for enterprise systems.
• Proficient in REST APIs and enterprise application development.
• Strong SQL and database skills; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of software design/architecture, CI/CD, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ORMB Billing solutions for complex billing requirements.
• Build scalable, high-performance applications using ORMB and Java.
• Lead technical design discussions and influence software architecture decisions.
• Develop integrations, APIs, and billing workflows for enterprise systems.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, performance bottlenecks, and defects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, QA, and DevOps to deliver quality solutions.
• Drive AI-driven capabilities (Generative AI, RAG, Agentic AI) and cloud-native deployments.
• Support modern DevOps/MLOps practices and continuous improvement.

• Build scalable, high-performance, and maintainable applications using ORMB and Java technologies.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to software architecture decisions.
• Develop integrations, APIs, and billing workflows to support enterprise systems.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system defects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Drive innovation by exploring and implementing AI-driven capabilities, including Generative AI, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and Agentic AI solutions.
• Support cloud-native deployments and modern software engineering practices.

Job Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on ORMB development experience, with a strong focus on billing implementations and enhancements.

Strong experience in:

• Billing configuration, customization, and integrations
• REST APIs and enterprise application development
• SQL and database technologies

Solid understanding of:

• Software design and architecture principles
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes
• API design and system integrations

Experience working with:

• Large-scale enterprise software solutions
• AI/ML-enabled applications and software solutioning

Preferred Qualifications
