Job summary

Cathay United Bank in Makati is seeking an experienced Operations Analyst to support planning, analysis, and implementation of operational strategies by preparing management reports, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and assisting decision-making.

The role also reviews and improves policies to ensure regulatory compliance, efficiency, and achievement of objectives; requires strong analytical skills, Mandarin is a plus, and ability to work with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 5–8 years of experience in operations, strategic planning, business analysis, or project management
• Mandarin language preferred
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Support planning, analysis, and implementation of operational strategies by preparing management reports and coordinating cross-functional initiatives
• Assist in decision-making and review/modify operational policies to ensure regulatory compliance
• Maintain reports related to internal, head office, and external regulations
• Assist BU to fulfill customers' requests and services
• Carry out other duties as assigned
• Engage in process improvement initiatives and data analysis to drive efficiency

Job description

• Responsible in supporting the planning, analysis, and implementation of operational strategies by preparing management reports, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and assisting in decision-making. The role also reviews and improves operational policies and processes to ensure regulatory compliance, enhance efficiency, and achieve organizational objectives.
• Planning and review operation rules with cross-functional (team/dept.) communication
• Projects implement to improve process of the systems
• To support BU to fulfill customers’ request and service
• Carry out other duties as and when assigned
• Maintain reports related to not only internal / Head office and external regulations

needs

• Generates Covered Transaction Reports / handles the compliance testing and ensures

they are submitted to the AML Officer on a daily, quarterly, and annual basis

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Engineering,

Finance, Economics, or a related field

• Preferably with 5-8 years of experience in operations, strategic planning, business

analysis, or project management

• Preferably someone who can speak and understand Mandarin
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in data analysis, report preparation, and presentation development
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and operational planning is an

advantage

• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple

priorities
