Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Store Operations Manager to oversee daily store functions in a fast-paced retail environment in Manila. You will lead a team, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while delivering excellent customer service in Korean and English.

Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating with suppliers, analysing sales data, and implementing efficiency improvements to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Korean with excellent verbal and written communication in Korean and English.
• Experience in retail operations management or a similar supervisory role in retail and consumer products.

• Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and concerns with professionalism and excellent service.
• Communicate with Korean-speaking customers and stakeholders in their preferred language.
• Liaise with head office, Korean vendors and international partners on operations and procurement.
• Analyse sales data, monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to reach targets.
• Recruit, onboard and evaluate team members and address performance issues.

• Monitor and maintain store cleanliness, safety standards and visual merchandising displays throughout the premises
• Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure adequate product availability
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and concerns with professionalism, whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Communicate directly with Korean-speaking customers and stakeholders, providing support in their preferred language
• Liaise with head office, Korean vendors and international partners regarding operations, purchasing decisions and business matters
• Analyse sales data, monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and improve operational efficiency
• Recruit, onboard and manage team members, conducting performance evaluations and addressing performance issues
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and regulatory requirements within the store

What we're looking for

• Fluent in Korean with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English
• Proven experience in retail operations management or a similar supervisory role within the retail and consumer products sector
• Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience in motivating and developing staff
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software
• Sound knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, stock control and customer service best practices
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and implement process improvements
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Experience working with Korean cultural contexts or Korean retail operations is highly desirable
• Relevant qualifications in retail management, business administration or related field are advantageous
