Job summary

Centaur Chem Enterprise is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring productivity, efficiency, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role requires leadership of operational teams and coordination with Safety, Security, and department heads, with a focus on chemical/industrial operations and hazardous materials handling, including ammonia.

• Experience in chemical, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or related operations.

• Strong knowledge of occupational safety, risk management, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and manage our day-to-day operations, ensuring productivity, operational efficiency, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will lead operational teams and coordinate closely with Safety, Security, and other department heads. This position requires experience in chemical or industrial operations, with knowledge of the safe handling, storage, and use of ammonia and other hazardous chemicals.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3–5 years of experience in Operations Management
• Proven experience in chemical, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or related operations
• Experience working with or managing operations involving hazardous chemicals
• Ammonia handling/exposure experience is highly preferred
• Must possess a valid OSH/Safety Officer Certificate
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety, risk management, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Willing to work on-site in Tanauan, Batangas, with initial training to be conducted in Hagonoy, Taguig City.
• Willing to work on-site/in person

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in chemical, manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse operations
• Knowledge of chemical safety, hazardous materials, and regulatory compliance
• Experience in SOP development, process improvement, and risk assessment
• Background in Lean Management, 5S, or Kaizen
• Experience in incident investigation and root-cause analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting

DAILY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Management

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily operational activities.
• Ensure operational targets, productivity, and quality standards are achieved.
• Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, SOPs, and workflows.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with OSH, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the safe handling, storage, and use of ammonia and other chemicals.
• Lead risk assessments and monitor safety controls.
• Conduct incident reviews and support root-cause analysis.
• Develop and monitor corrective and preventive actions.

Leadership & Coordination

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate operations personnel.
• Monitor team performance and productivity.
• Coordinate with Safety Officers, Security, and Department Heads.
• Identify training needs and support employee competency development.
• Prepare operational, safety, and performance reports.
• Identify operational risks, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead initiatives focused on productivity, safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
