Job summary

JJ Grand Premium Fruits is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day production plant activities and ensure efficient, safe operations. You will lead planning, supervision of Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Logistics, while driving KPI achievement and cost control.

The role requires 5–10 years in operations, strong GMP/HACCP knowledge, and on-site work in Digos/Bunugao areas. On-site collaboration and extended hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing, Food Technology, or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in operations or manufacturing, preferably in food manufacturing.
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in production planning, process improvement, manpower management, and cost control.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, occupational safety, and quality management systems.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze operational data, KPIs, production reports, and costs.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
• Strong ability to manage multiple departments and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work on-site in Binugao, Toril, Davao City, or Digos City, Davao del Sur, and work extended hours when operational requirements demand.
• Preferably with experience in banana chips, dried fruits, snack foods, or other food manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the production plant.
• Develop and implement operational plans, procedures, and systems aligned with company goals.
• Supervise and coordinate Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, Logistics, and other operational functions.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, delivery schedules, and KPIs are achieved.
• Monitor production efficiency, manpower utilization, material consumption, downtime, and operational costs.
• Identify operational problems and implement timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with QA, Maintenance, HR, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, occupational safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, minimize downtime, and control operating costs.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance and equipment availability together with the Maintenance Department.
• Manage manpower planning, scheduling, attendance, productivity, and performance of operations personnel.
• Conduct regular operational meetings and provide management with reports on production performance and operational concerns.
• Handle operational incidents, investigate root causes, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ensure proper implementation and monitoring of company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Lead and motivate supervisors and team leaders and promote accountability and teamwork.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities related to operations as assigned by Management.
