Job summary

HUNGRY Marketplace is hiring an Operations Manager to drive catering, delivery, and events in the market. You will coordinate the local network of Captains (primarily contractors), oversee hub readiness, and partner with Sales and Food Partner Management to ensure flawless execution.

You will lead direct employees, manage onboarding and performance, and handle administrative duties while upholding food safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in an operations role, preferably catering, food service, hospitality or logistics.
• Experience directly managing and developing employees.
• Experience planning and coordinating contractor-based or gig work.
• Hands-on experience with live event execution and logistics management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to lift/move catering equipment and supplies as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day execution of catering, delivery, and event operations in the market.
• Plan and coordinate the local network of Captains (independent contractors) for gigs and logistics.
• Recruit, onboard, and train Captains; connect them with service and safety training.
• Partner with Sales and Food Partner Management to ensure smooth handoffs from booking to execution.
• Oversee hub readiness, inventory, and vendor/contractor flow; manage reporting.
• Build logistics plans, scheduling coverage, and inventory for daily and event operations.
• Monitor service quality in real time and flag risks to protect the client.
• Lead direct HUNGRY employees: Hub Operators, General Managers, Hospitality Associates.
• Complete administrative duties: time/attendance, expenses, purchasing, inventory.
