Job summary

Revolut is seeking an Operations Risk Manager to advance its risk management framework and governance across functions and regions. You will track daily risk exposures, support reporting to internal and external stakeholders, and help shape control environments.

You’ll work with the first line of defence to identify risks, coach the business on controls, and develop risk policies and indicators. This role emphasizes data-driven risk management across a fast-growing fintech.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in operational risk management within banking or financial services.
• Understanding of core operational risk concepts.
• Experience working with local regulators in Mexico.
• Ability to interpret and organise complex matters.
• Curiosity and never accepting of assumptions; desire to understand how things work.
• Organised and have a methodological approach.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, document, and regularly review risks across the business with the first line of defence.
• Coach the business to design and implement controls.
• Develop and maintain operational risk policies, procedures, indicators, and appetite statements.
• Quantify operational risk and resilience; include stress testing and impact tolerances.
• Own risk incident management; record events and manage reports.
• Monitor risk against limits and produce management reports.
• Develop and maintain risk tools and systems.
• Monitor KRI breaches and coordinate with risk owners to resolve them within timelines.
• Present risk identification and mitigation in workshops and presentations.

Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They’re among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.

We're looking for an Operations Risk Manager to continue improving our risk management framework and governance structures. You'll use data to track daily risk exposures and support reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

• Working with the first line of defence to identify, assess, document, and regularly review risks of all types
• Coaching the business to design and implement controls
• Supporting the development and implementation of operational risk policies, procedures, key indicators, and appetite statement
• Developing techniques for quantification of operational risk and resilience, including stress testing and impact tolerances
• Taking ownership of the risk incident management process, ensuring recording of risk events, and managing incident reports
• Monitoring operational risk against limits and thresholds, producing respective reports to management and other relevant stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining risk tools and systems
• Monitoring KRI breaches and working with risk owners/group risk team to resolve them within a set timeline
• Conducting presentations and workshops on risk identification and mitigation

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in operational risk management within banking or financial services
• An understanding of core operational risk concepts
• Experience working with local regulators in Mexico
• Previous examples of practically interpreting and organising complex matters
• To be curious and never accepting of assumptions, with a desire to fully understand how things work
• To be organised and have a methodological approach

• Experience with operational risk stress testing and quantification
