Job summary

Manulife is seeking an experienced risk professional to manage and execute core elements of the Operational Risk Management Framework for North America Retirement Operations, collaborating with business leaders to maintain an effective risk and control environment.

You will lead RCSAs, audits, CAPs, control testing, and risk metrics, and present clear materials to senior leaders while building strong partner relationships across functions.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in operational risk management, operational controls, internal controls, audit, or related governance functions.
• Solid understanding of core insurance operational processes within operations.
• Experience in global/regional roles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Execute core elements of the Operational Risk Management Framework across assigned operational units and functions.
• Support and complete Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) identifying key risks and controls.
• Lead audit engagements by coordinating with business leads and collecting audit evidence.
• Respond to audit findings with Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and track remediation within timelines.
• Perform or lead control testing of high-risk processes and report results with recommendations.
• Maintain awareness of risk issues from self-identification, incidents, and audits; keep control inventory current.
• Build relationships with leaders and present materials for senior audiences.
