Job summary

Ubiquity is seeking a Tax Senior Staff Accountant to join our Global Resource Team, working closely with U.S. tax professionals to prepare individual and business returns across industries. You’ll deliver accurate work while developing expertise for greater responsibility in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 100% onsite attendance and night shifts to align with U.S. hours, offering exposure to real estate, professional services, and other sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Two to three years of relevant tax preparation experience.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to raise questions and provide timely updates.
• Familiarity with tax preparation and related software, including CCH ProSystem fx, Axcess Tax, Axcess Document, Axcess Workstream, Thomson Reuters Fixed Assets CS, and Checkpoint.
• Must be willing to work 100% onsite and Night shift schedule

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.
• Organize and review client financial information, identifying missing documents, inconsistencies, and questions for the U.S. engagement team.
• Prepare clear, complete workpapers that support tax return calculations and allow for an efficient review.
• Use tax preparation, document management, and workflow software to complete assignments and maintain organized engagement files.
• Keep engagement teams informed of assignment status, outstanding items, and potential delays.
• Address review comments and incorporate feedback into future assignments.
• Assist senior team members with more complex tax matters, including research and specialized projects.
• Participate in training, share knowledge with colleagues, and continue building technical and supervisory skills.
• Follow firm procedures for protecting confidential client information and meeting quality standards.
