Job summary

Ubiquity is seeking a Tax Senior Staff Accountant to join our Global Resource Team and collaborate with U.S. tax professionals to prepare individual and business tax returns for clients across industries.

This in-office role requires 100% onsite work and a night-shift schedule. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of tax preparation experience and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, plus familiarity with tax software like CCH ProSystem fx and Axcess tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Two to three years of relevant tax preparation experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to raise questions and provide timely updates.
• Familiarity with tax preparation software including CCH ProSystem fx, Axcess Tax/Document/Workstream, Thomson Reuters Fixed Assets CS, and Checkpoint.
• Must be willing to work 100% onsite and night shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.
• Organize and review client financial information, identifying missing documents, inconsistencies, and questions for the U.S. engagement team.
• Prepare clear, complete workpapers that support tax return calculations and allow for an efficient review.
• Use tax preparation, document management, and workflow software to complete assignments and maintain organized engagement files.
• Keep engagement teams informed of assignment status, outstanding items, and potential delays.
• Address review comments and incorporate feedback into future assignments.
• Assist senior team members with more complex tax matters, including research and specialized projects.
• Participate in training, share knowledge with colleagues, and continue building technical and supervisory skills.
• Follow firm procedures for protecting confidential client information and meeting quality standards.
