Job summary

Mer​alco Industrial Engineering Services Corporation seeks a Safety Officer to support SHE programs on construction projects. The role involves incident tracking, on-site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with SH&E standards.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree (preferably in engineering), completed BOSH/COSH/LCM training, and at least 2 years’ experience on power plant, substation, or transmission-line projects; willingness to work at project sites is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering.
• Completed training on BOSH, COSH, and LCM; COSH is required for construction-related scope.
• At least 2 years of work experience in relevant construction projects such as power plants, substations, and transmission lines.
• Willing to be assigned to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensures incident/accident reports are recorded, monitored and addressed.
• Assists in safety, health and environment inspections to determine compliance with Safety, Health & Environment requirements, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and all applicable Safety, Health & Environment laws and regulations.
• Ensures the timely submission of completely filled Safety & Health Performance Records, Environmental Reports (EMS) and consolidate SHE reports at the project.
• Performs Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Controls (HIRAC) and Aspects/ Impact Risk Assessment and Controls (AIRAC).
• Protects Intellectual property, company propriety and confidential information.
