Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Client Onboarding Associate to lead new account onboarding for institutional clients. You will coordinate across teams to ensure a controlled, timely launch and manage complex lifecycle events with a strong client focus.

You will track milestones, document risks, and support continuous improvement to strengthen the client onboarding experience and maintain robust controls.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial products and how onboarding impacts operations
• Understanding of trade lifecycle concepts from inception through settlement
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across seniority levels
• Project management capability for multiple initiatives from planning to delivery
• Strong organisation and time management with follow-through
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with web-based tools
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain status, decisions, and risks
• Strong problem-solving to identify root causes and propose solutions
• Experience using Python, Tableau, or Alteryx for process improvement and reporting

Responsibilities

• Project manage end-to-end onboarding for institutional and strategic client mandates
• Coordinate account lifecycle events including mergers, liquidations, closures, and transfers
• Act as primary point of contact for clients throughout onboarding and delivery
• Lead internal and external meetings to align scope, timelines, dependencies
• Maintain onboarding documentation, checklists, and project plans for delivery transparency
• Execute control checkpoints and obtain required approvals prior to launch
• Apply subject matter knowledge to day-to-day decisions within risk controls
• Partner with internal teams to align operational readiness and new initiatives
• Communicate status, risks, and issues, escalating as needed to protect delivery
• Share best practices with global onboarding partners and standardise efforts
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and client experience
