Job summary

Melco Resorts Leisure (PHP) Corporation is looking for an Officer, Surveillance to monitor revenue activity and uphold security within gaming operations. You will analyze data from IT systems, report violations, and collaborate with the Surveillance team to maintain integrity and confidentiality.

You will monitor staff and customers from the monitor room, ensure ethics and procedures compliance, and work with supervisors to resolve incidents promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

Previous experience in Casino Surveillance is desired.
Minimal to no experience will be considered.
Professional and investigative attitude required.

Responsibilities

Monitor staff and customers activity from the Monitor Room.
Monitor illegal/suspicious activity in gaming and cash areas and report to supervisors.
Analyse information from IT systems and respond to identified situations.
Operate Central Monitoring/Communication Console and ensure data integrity.
Work as part of a team and maintain confidential reporting.
Report on illegal activities and document incidents.
Maintain compliance with policies and confidentiality.

Job description

The Officer, Surveillance provides proactive monitoring, analysis and protection of all revenue generating activity within the boundaries of Melco Resorts Leisure (PHP) Corporation. He / She performs all responsibilities in accordance with MRP standards, policies and procedures. He / She ensures that any violations of the law, internal procedures or illicit and illegal activities are logged and reported to the Senior Operator, Surveillance and/or Supervisor, Shift in a timely manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain Effective Relationship with Internal Customers
- Maintain a professional image in all dealings with customers, whether in person, by telephone/radio, electronically, etc.
- Meet the customers’ requirements and expectations through the prompt and accurate relaying of information.
- Build credibility with customers through professional behaviour.
- Liaise with other departments to promote the Surveillance department.
- Use discretion in handling difficult situations with the assistance of a Supervisor, Shift /Senior Operator, Surveillance.
- Contribute to the teams’ effectiveness of the Surveillance team by promoting a professional image and handling all situations with the required confidentially.
- Ensure work remain covert within the confines of the Surveillance department.
Survey Staff/ Customers Activity from the Monitor Room
- Monitor staff and customers in accordance with "Code of Ethics, Conduct and Professional Behaviours" Policy.
- Monitor illegal/suspicious activity of staff and customers within gaming and cash handling area, ensuring detected activities are reported to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor, analyse and review gaming and cash handling activities, including high action, junket activity, count procedures, point of sale, etc.
Monitor the integrity of gaming and cash handling functions through observing and reporting procedural violations, reviewing equipment, auditing transactions and table games hold percentages, etc.
Analyse information from information technology systems
- Evaluate and analyse information from multiple sources.
- Respond to situations identified through surveillance and computer analysis systems.
- Maintain control and confidentiality of Surveillance and computer systems.
Operate Central Monitoring /Communication Console
- Observe and analyse gaming and cash handling areas using advanced IT systems, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Label, file, documents and store recording mediums.
- Review gaming and cash handling activities to ensure procedures have been complied with and integrity maintained.
- Ensure that appropriate equipment is functioning, submitting appropriate reports when equipment is not functioning.
- Operate advanced IT systems and communication equipment in accordance with operating requirements.
Work as part of a Team
- Build credibility with other team members.
- Contribute to team effectiveness by keeping informed and sharing knowledge and technical skills.
- Maintain effective reporting procedures by ensuring all reports are completed in a timely manner and filed appropriately, keeping appropriate personnel informed at all times.
- Provide back up support to all team members to ensure the professional image and integrity of the Surveillance department is maintained.
Report on illegal activities
- Monitor, detect and report on irregular, suspicious and illegal activities, ensuring appropriate personnel are informed.
- Document at illegal activities using recording mediums and the appropriate electronic reporting system.
- Investigate complex and protracted incidents.

- Safe guard all confidential information whilst exercising due care to prevent its improper disclosure or use.
- Comply with all company policies, rules, regulations, procedures and department ethics; and to perform all duties in accordance with the highest professional standards at all times
