Job summary

Western Union is seeking an AML Compliance Officer I to join a specialist team supporting compliance across agents and affiliates within a global Fintech framework. The role involves on-site and off-site reviews, training, and ensuring effective AML/CTF/Anti-Fraud programs, with travel within the country as needed.

You will evaluate internal and agent controls, escalate risk matters, and contribute to AML program development for back-office tasks, aligning with global oversight and regional

Responsibilities

Role Responsibilities

Do you want to be part of a specialist team that provides support to a successful team of professional Compliance experts? Do you want to unleash your potential in a global Fintech company? Join Western Union as an AML Compliance Officer I. We’ll be looking to you to perform onsite and offsite AML (anti money laundering)/CTF/Anti-Fraud Compliance program reviews of prospective, new and existing agents of Western Union and its affiliates. You will provide support and training to the agents to implement effect AML/CTF/Anti-Fraud compliance programs. You will be the subject matter expert at evaluating controls both internally and with our agents through analysis and support them to deliver the compliance programs. You will know when to escape compliance-related risk matters in a timely manner. You will assist the team in development of AML programs, especially those related to back-office tasks and initiatives. You will be involved in policies and procedures implementation, partner closely with global agent oversight and regional compliance teams to achieve consistency.

Role Requirements

Experience in an AML compliance, role previously within financial services. You will have the ability to understand laws and regulations related to AML/CTF and Anti-Fraud policies. As you will be conducting on‑site visits, you will need to travel within the country. Excellent communication skill is a must as you need to communicate with clients and to deliver effective AML training to a wide audience. We need you to have strong Interpersonal skills and customer service experience. You will have an analytical mind and be comfortable in using Microsoft Office. Your understanding of regional and global money service business (MSB) regulation requirements, the Bank Secrecy Act and their effect on the business will make you stand out.
