  • Evaluate referrals and escalations from internal business partners, monitoring systems, and external sources.
  • Apply independent judgment to determine whether activity warrants further investigation, enhanced due diligence, regulatory reporting, or other risk mitigation actions.
  • Recognize emerging financial crime trends, typologies, and risk indicators and apply appropriate investigative methodologies.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigative case documentation that accurately reflects findings, conclusions, and recommended actions.
  • Draft high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and other regulatory filings in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence reviews and risk assessments for consumers.
  • Recommend risk-based actions designed to protect the organization from financial crime exposure.
  • Utilize internal systems, external intelligence sources, and public record databases to support investigations.

  • Communicate investigative findings and recommendations to management and business partners in a clear and concise manner.
  • Operate effectively in a global environment while maintaining awareness of varying legal, regulatory, and cultural considerations.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and subject matter expertise to colleagues when appropriate.
  • Support departmental initiatives, special projects, and process improvement efforts.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance investigative methodologies, controls, and reporting processes.
  • Contribute to weekly case updates, monthly reporting, and periodic intelligence briefings for leadership.
Role Requirements:
  • Equivalent professional experience in financial services, compliance, investigations, or regulatory enforcement may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, financial crimes investigations, anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, risk management, regulatory compliance, law enforcement, or related disciplines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Finance, Accounting, Business, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional investigative reports and regulatory filings.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
