Job Descriptions
Coordinates and supervises the construction process until final construction, making sure that the project gets done on time and within budget. Work with owners, engineers, architects, supervisors and others who are involved in the construction.
Takes charge of the following construction phases: Site preparation, including land clearing and earth moving; sewage systems; landscaping and road construction; building construction, including excavation and laying of foundations and erection of the structural framework, floors, walls, and roofs; and building systems, including fire-protection, electrical, plumbing, mechanical air-conditioning and heating, mechanical processes.
Evaluates and helps determine appropriate construction delivery systems and the most cost-effective plan and schedule for completing the project. Divides all required construction site activities into logical steps, budgeting the time required to meet established deadlines thru the use of sophisticated estimating and scheduling methods.
Helps the Operations Manager or Project Manager in determining the labor requirements of the project.
Requests manpower personnel and recommends manpower reduction based on the construction requirement.
Directs and monitors the progress of construction activities.
Coordinates planning, scheduling and material deliveries with regards to implementation of the project.
Oversees the activities of the contractors, construction supervisors and subordinates being handled.
Manages construction budget.
Conducts construction conference and reviews construction and bid documents.
Interprets and explains construction plans to administrative staff, supervisors, and clients.
Reviews and approves request for payments of vendors.
Reviews and approves project change orders.
Reports work accomplishments to Operations Manager or Project Manager.
