Job summary

AMA University in Quezon City seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the university health centre in a full-time capacity. You will provide direct patient care to students, faculty, and staff, conduct health assessments, administer medications, and lead health education initiatives.

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to join the healthcare team at AMA University, located in Project 8, Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services and support to our university community, including students, faculty, and staff. As a Nurse at AMA University, you will be at the forefront of promoting health and wellness within an educational environment, ensuring that our community receives high-quality medical care, health education, and preventative health services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and medical support to students, faculty, and staff at the university health centre
• Conduct health assessments, vital sign monitoring, and initial patient evaluations
• Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed and maintain accurate medication records
• Develop and implement health education programmes and wellness initiatives for the university community
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient medical records and documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency nursing care
• Perform routine clinical procedures, wound care, and dressing changes
• Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion and self-care management
• Monitor and report on health trends within the university community
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent nursing qualification
• Current Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Philippines
• At least 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and patient care protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to patient welfare
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is preferred
• Experience in university health services or occupational health is advantageous
