Pharmacare in Tacurong, Philippines is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide direct patient care in clinic settings and to assist doctors during examinations and procedures.
The ideal candidate will hold a BSN, be a registered nurse, with at least 1 year of clinical experience in hospital or community health, and be willing to participate in community-based programs.
Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with clinic policies and professional standards.
Assist doctors during medical examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as prescribed.
Performs quick health assessment to patients.
Refers patients to primary care and specialist doctors
Attends to patients’ queries and complaints.
Collaborates with the HMO Department for the processing of patient’s healthcare.
Provides health teaching and gives clear instructions to patients undergoing laboratory and/or diagnostic procedures.
Provides proper endorsement of patient/s to other departments (Ortho/Rehab, Eye Center, Pulmonary and Diagnostic Center)
Assists with arrangement of appointment for the patient.
Registers patients, updates their information, and retrieves patient records in the system.
Encodes cash transactions, including laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures requested by doctors.
Processes charges for supplies used during minor procedures and occasionally answers phone calls.
Gives the patient’s chart to the doctor for consultation.
Prepares doctor’s room for consultation and/or physical exam.
Assists patient to and from the doctor's room
In charge of taking vital signs, visual acuity and other assessments.
Provides basic nursing skills and knowledge in patients care.
Administers medications (Oral, SQ, IV and IM) and performs skin testing (mantoux and antibiotic).
Prepares instruments for minor procedures
Assists doctors in minor surgical procedures and emergency cases.
Provides after care
Performs administrative and documentation tasks, including screening LOAs, recording cancelled transactions, and monitoring infectious cases.
Monitors and maintains medical supplies, emergency medicines, laundry usage, and fixed assets.
Tracks emergency cases, medical services, consultation and procedure census, and clinic rentals.
Administers EECP treatments and prepares monthly treatment summaries and payment updates.
Monitors casualty cases and manages the receipt of doctors’ statements of account.
Collaborates with co-nurses and provides daily departmental status updates to the Head Nurse.
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a recognized institution
Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid PRC license
At least 1 year of clinical experience in hospital, community health, or related healthcare settings
Experience in primary care, patient education, or outreach programs is an advantage
Willingness to be assigned in community-based programs
Flexible and adaptable to different work environments and schedules
