Job summary

Qualifications

About the role

This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. As a Clinical Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical education, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in real-world healthcare settings. Key responsibilities

• Facilitate clinical learning experiences for nursing students in hospital and healthcare settings, ensuring adherence to curriculum standards and learning outcomes

• Supervise and guide students during hands‑on clinical practice, providing constructive feedback and mentoring to develop clinical competencies

• Assess student performance during clinical rotations using established evaluation tools and maintain accurate records of student progress

• Collaborate with clinical facility staff and preceptors to create an optimal learning environment that supports student development

• Design and implement clinical teaching strategies that promote critical thinking, problem‑solving, and evidence‑based nursing practice

• Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical teaching methods and adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse learning needs

• Maintain professional standards and ensure compliance with institutional policies, healthcare regulations, and patient safety protocols

• Participate in curriculum development and contribute to the continuous improvement of nursing programs

• Maintain current knowledge of clinical nursing practice and incorporate recent developments into teaching and supervision

• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, clinical partners, and healthcare professionals to support seamless clinical education delivery

What we're looking for

• A valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant regulatory body

• Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care or specialized healthcare settings

• Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice areas relevant to the nursing curriculum

• Strong knowledge of nursing education principles, adult learning theory, and clinical pedagogy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide students effectively

• Ability to assess clinical competencies objectively and provide constructive feedback

• Proficiency in digital platforms and learning management systems used in healthcare education

• A commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and professional standards in nursing

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple student groups and clinical placements simultaneously

• Previous experience in clinical teaching or nursing education is highly desirable

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related qualification; postgraduate qualifications in nursing education are advantageous
