Job summary

Nidec Mexico Shared Services in Apodaca, Mexico seeks a Procurement Project Manager for New Product Development. You will lead procurement activities, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure timely material delivery aligned with profitability targets and production readiness.

Requires 5+ years in procurement or supply chain, bachelor's degree, and strong Excel/data analysis skills. English required; some travel up to 10% is expected. Experience with ERP/PLM systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S./Bachelors in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 5+ years in procurement, supply chain or business management.
• Experience supporting sourcing, supplier management or project coordination.
• Exposure to manufacturing and new product development preferred.
• Familiarity with cross-functional teamwork and project timelines.
• English required; Spanish preferred.
• Travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Represent Procurement on NPD cross-functional teams.
• Track procurement deliverables and stage-gate activities.
• Maintain sourcing timelines and escalate risks to leadership.
• Coordinate supplier readiness for product launches.
• Execute RFQ processes and analyze supplier quotations.
• Assist with cost analysis and negotiations; partner with Quality.
• Lead supplier selection aligning with the procurement strategy.
• Drive cost modeling and target costing; manage BOM estimates.
• Coordinate tooling and pre-production procurement; support SOP.
• Ensure compliance with PPAP/APQP through supplier selection.
