Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Analyst on a temporary basis to support tax compliance, reporting, and related accounting activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze financial information for filings.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field, 1–3 years in tax or finance, strong Excel skills, ERP experience, and the ability to work US night shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance-related functions.
• Knowledge of tax compliance, tax reporting, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems and tax software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to work in US night shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax-related schedules, calculations, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Reconcile tax accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions and reporting requirements.
• Maintain tax records, documentation, and audit support files.
• Assist during internal and external tax audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Research tax laws, regulations, and updates to identify potential impacts on the organization.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Payroll, and other departments to gather information needed for tax-related activities.
• Support special tax projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
