Job summary

HGC Global Communications Limited in Manila is seeking a NOC Engineer to provide technical support and troubleshooting across a diverse range of network products. You will monitor network health, detect faults, and resolve issues to ensure high availability and adherence to SLAs.

Working in a 24/7 shift, you will collaborate with internal teams, service providers, and vendors to restore services promptly and maintain customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2–4 years hands-on experience in NOC.
• Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols and TCP/IP fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to a diverse customer base.
• Perform regular network health checks to ensure optimal performance.

• Coordinate with internal teams, field engineers, and vendors to resolve incidents within SLAs.
• Provide timely updates to customers on incidents and restoration progress.

• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues.

Job description

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to a diverse customer base utilizing a wide range of network products and services.
• Perform regular network health checks to ensure optimal network performance, availability, and reliability.
• Proactively monitor, detect, analyze, and resolve network faults, anomalies, and performance issues to minimize service disruptions and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Utilize network monitoring and performance management tools to identify potential service impairments and operational risks.
• Use diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and technical expertise to isolate and determine the root cause of network issues.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal technical teams, field engineers, service providers, and vendors to resolve network-related incidents within established SLAs and operational timelines.
• Provide timely and accurate updates to customers regarding service incidents, restoration activities, and resolution progress.
• Maintain records of troubleshooting, fault isolation, corrective actions, and restoration efforts.
• Prepare and submit operational reports.
• Ensure prompt service restoration by coordinating effectively with relevant technical and support teams in accordance with agreed service levels.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and recommending preventive measures to enhance network stability and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Min. 2-4 years of hands-on experience in NOC.
• Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Willing to take shift role to support 24/7 operations.
